OpenAlice Persona

The character/persona system — the layer that gives Alice a consistent identity, memory, mood, and behavioural envelope across sessions and products. Persona manages per-chat mode axes (InteractionMode: Companion vs Worker; PersonalityMode: 6 mood states; ChatMode: topic/memory), the Soul/Identity system (preserved verbatim), and VRM character assignment. It is the shared backbone under Embed, Live, World, and Social — every surface that shows "Alice" runs on Persona. Alice's personality is allowed to evolve (drift is a feature, not a bug); hard governance gates (HITL, kill-switch, approval protocol) ensure that evolution stays within the behavioural envelope NAO defined. Persona is an internal product component, not a separately-purchasable SKU; it surfaces as a feature in every product tier.

Who pays: Embedded in the pricing of Embed / Live / Social — no standalone tier. Who uses: All Alice surfaces. Operators configure persona via the Forge editor or the dashboard. VTubers want a character that feels like theirs, not a generic chatbot. Enterprise Embed customers want brand-voice consistency across 5 widgets. Where we reach them: Implicit — Persona is the reason customers choose OpenAlice over a generic LLM wrapper. It surfaces in marketing as "real brand personality" and "character consistency", not as a separately named product.
